This "Iced Mushroom Coffee Latte" is a thick, frosted cold drink created with Predator Ground Mushroom Coffee, a caffeine-free blend of chicory root, Lion's Mane, Chaga and Reishi.
Brewed hot to extract the full depth of the chicory and the earthiness of the mushrooms, then blended with ice for a texture that is genuinely different from anything you get by simply pouring cold coffee over cubes.
The result is smooth, grounded, and completely caffeine-free. A morning ritual that works as well in summer as it does in January.
Iced Mushroom Coffee Latte
Thick, frosted, and caffeine-free
What do you need?
- 1–2 tsp Predator Ground Mushroom Coffee
- 150–200ml hot water
- 150ml plant-based milk (oat or almond)
- Honey or Maple Syrup (optional)
- A generous handful of ice cubes
- Personal Blender
Step by step instructions:
- Brew the coffee: Add 1–2 tsp of Ground Mushroom Coffee to 150–200ml of hot water and stir well until fully dissolved. Use 150ml for a stronger, more intense flavour, or 200ml if you prefer something lighter.
- Sweeten now if you want it: Stir in a small drizzle of honey or maple syrup while the coffee is still hot, so it dissolves fully. The chicory root carries a natural mild sweetness, so taste before you add anything.
- Blend with ice: Pour the hot coffee directly into your blender along with a generous handful of ice cubes. Blend until the ice is crushed but not fully dissolved. We're using a Personal blender to make a single serving. Note: pulse rather than running a continuous blend, you want the texture thick and crushed, not fully liquid.
- Pour: Add some ice cubes to a tall glass and pour your crushed iced mushroom coffee over this.
- Add your milk: Pour in your preferred plant-based milk and give it a little stir.
- Enjoy immediately: before the ice has a chance to melt and dilute it.
💡 Extra tips:
- Batch the brew: Make a double or triple batch of the coffee and keep it sealed in the fridge for up to three days.
- Cold foam finish: froth cold milk separately and pour it on top for a layered cold foam finish that looks as good as it tastes.
- No blender?: Brew your coffee, let it cool for five minutes, then pour directly over a tall glass packed tightly with ice. Add your milk and stir well. The texture will be lighter, but it still works.
